Example Phone Interview #4 – Great Hire

I appreciated that this person admitted they don’t have a ton of experience with birds. Most people don’t, but it’s easy to teach. 

We love hiring creative people. 

This candidate really nailed the interview. We often hire introverts and people with anxiety. Some of those folks have really thrived in a pet sitting and dog walking role. 

There is a good explanation of the onboarding and training process near the end. I even get into burnout a bit, and the importance of having a team. I’m really open and honest with my team, even in the very beginning stages. Still, I am careful not to overshare.  

This candidate turned out to be a fantastic hire. Notice I let them know I will be setting up an in-person interview right away.
